It's also Visible Monday again and thank-you Patti for hosting this linky list because it DOES make me think about what to wear. It starts off the week and gets me in the mood to think about my wardrobe.
So, I hauled out my black jean-style cotton pants. I matched them with a floral top (bought on the same trip as the big yellow purse). It wasn't exactly the look I had planned, but it was warmer without having to wear thick winter tights.
The top has a cute mostly black and white print with a splash of colourful flowers on one side.
I brought some more colour up around the neck area by adding a black and pink rose scarf. This scarf is one that I hardly ever wear - it doesn't seem to go with anything - although it looks okay with this top.
Now that I see photos, I think it would've been better if I put the pink on the scarf on the other side so as not to be lop-sided colour-wise. I wonder whether people notice things like that.
Channeling Jeannie ! |
I'm also not fond of how wrinkled the pants have gotten by end of day. That's what comes of sitting down at a desk all day.
Today I wore:
black sequin tank ... from Winners
floral top ... Chatelet
black pants ... Penmans
loafers ... Spain
scarf ... ???
I don't think people notice the things we notice ourselves. What they do see is how great you look, the whole deal, the perfect outfit to start the week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Melanie! I am always worried if I have a ripped hem or something that someone will notice.
DeleteI think the scarf goes very well with the top... :)

btw, bought a polka-dot scarf like the one I sent you for an even lower reduced price!!! It was the last one so it was priced at 3 euros!!! Was thinking of returning to buy one for myself a few weeks ago but glad that I waited until today. :) Una ganga!!!
A great ganga! Good thing you waited, and good thing they still had one!
DeleteYes, that scarf is just-right with this blouse, Narda - love the whole look, and great way to start the week. Thanks for linking up to Visible Monday and I hope your day is happy!
ReplyDeleteHey Patti - it was just by fluke that it all matched. I was quite surprised to see how well it went with the blouse.
DeleteThe scarf was a great addition. In fact, when I first looked at the look, I had guessed that it was part of the blouse. And I wore my black, jean-style pants today to teach.
ReplyDeleteHi Terri: Aren't black pants great? Life savers - you can wear them with almost anything.
DeleteThe lovely top and the scarf go so well together! It's a very stylish outfit. I hope it kept you warm all day! I still don't have a decent pair of black pants, and it's driving me mad!
ReplyDeleteThank-you! I'm still amazed that it all matched!
