Council Meeting

Today was another meeting day so I got to wear jeans again.  Here is the outfit:

This is in what Big J and I call the "rustic" part of the garden.  In the heat of summer, it is a cool shady refuge with green grapes hanging down.  Now though it's mostly twigs and bare vines.

I'm trying to wear more accessories and today sport bracelets from my Mom (left arm, worn with watch) and Mom-in-law (3 strands on right):

They felt a bit dressy for the jeans, but why not?

The jeans I actually thought I liked, but now that I see them in a photo, I think they need to be taken in a bit around the knee area.  They are those stretchy jeans that have a bit of lycra - they fit well first thing in the morning, but by end of day get all bagged out.

  1. You look great in your faithful jeans, Narda! And your garden is so restful, I can imagine you enjoy sitting out there among the grapevines. Thanks so much for linking up with Visible Monday!

    1. Hi Patti! The garden is our little oasis, and we get lots of fruit from it.

  2. Hey Narda, glad you're back. I like that you dressed the jeans up with the bracelets. I always try to get jeans with just 1% spandex, because with 2% or more they just seem to stretch out too soon.

    1. Hi Sheila! Oh, that's a good tip - I didn't know the % spandex affected the fit so much.

  3. I have a pair or two of those jeans that stretch out too quickly. Lately, I've taken to wearing them with a pair of suspenders! So, do you work in the garden.

    1. Hi Terri! I do, mostly hand-weeding (using that step-on tool) - our town doesn't allow any kind of pest/weed killer, and I've planted a lot of perrenials.

We alternate "doing" the front and back yards so one year the front looks better and the next year the back looks better.

  4. Hi Jill! It's funny, I have that same print in a lingerie item - don't know if that's good or bad. Hmmm.
